Abandon all hope Here is my blood fountian. I found a small fountain pump at the Salvation Army store for $1.. Then the cup was from another store.. I used a dremel tool and a long dril bit to drill a hole through the cup into the base. Then I put a tube from the pump into the base of the cup. It all sits in a plastic bowl. The blood was some watered down "Bottle of Blood" from the Halloween store. It worked really well.. I also put some red LED's and limit resistors in the cup and ran them off my 5V-DC supply. They didn't work as well as I would have liked but it was still cool. The only real problem I had was getting it level outside.
Abandon all hope One of my nephews sat at this table with this huge scary mask and these gloves on. He had a large wooden fork and spoon and pretended to eat off the plate of goodies.. He had fun and was able to get several good screems out of our visitors... On the plate are some glow in the dark sticky eyes and cut rubber band to look like noodles. ( Note! The chemicals in the eyes did not like the rubber bands and started to react with them by the end of the night. Not really a problem, but made made clean up interesting.)
Abandon all hope Here is this years hide. I used 2 night vision video camears to monitor a couple areas of the haunt. 2 old VCRs were used to just convert the NTSC signal from the camears to a VHF signal for the 2 small B&W TV's. The control center was made this year also. See more of the control center here.
Abandon all hope Here you can see some more of the 24V-AC sprinkler valves I used to control air effects. I used 12V-DC automotive realys to control the valves. Also you can see a larger white air cylinder and a smaller grey cylinder. I think I am going to get away from the larger ones. They just use too much air from the system and I have found a simple way to build the smaller grey ones. See more of the small grey air cylinder here.
