Some History about the Haunted Barn

Starting in 2001, we ( My very understanding wife and I ) started the Haunted Hut. It was brought about by national events and a feeling of wanting to keep our children close to home. So, with the invitation of my sister to have a "Haunted House" at her place for a family party I started to dig into the dark reaches of my mind to some up with some fun ways to get our kids hearts racing.

As we ran it, our kids, my sisters kids all loved it. Then a funny thing, trick-or-treaters started to show up and they asked if they could go through the Haunted Hut. Before we knew it, the kids were dragging their parent out of their cars and into the Hut. The parents asked how much it to enter and were surprised that it was free. After 2, or 3 trips though the Hut, they started calling friends and family on their cell phones. We thought about how the local VFW does a great job providing a fun, and safe environment for younger kids but were not able to do much for the older kids, 5th grade and up.. Well we wanted to do the same for the older kids so with that The Haunted Hut was born.....

We ran the Haunted Hut for 2 years until we moved to a new house in 2003 with a beautiful old barn. With some badly needed repairs and a lot of cleaning, and I do mean a lot of cleaning the Haunted Barn was born.
